i changed the design of the cage a bit... um.. i shrank the bars significantly, it just seems like creepier look, and the kids (and girl) behind can show up a lot better.

Done in nupastel and a cool grey colour burned layer added in Photoshop to help separate the dark areas from the lighter ones.
Done in nupastel and edited in Painter using the flat grainy stump blender and the smudge blender after being colour adjusted in Photoshop.
Same as above with Rainbow Ecks.

More hand drawn lines, this one just with your basic prismacolor. Not to proper design, not the correct door placement or chair or desk and what have you. More colour and atmosphere and treating textures as part of layout elements and how the character fits within that than anything else.
